Creative Visioning
Creative
Visioning using visual aids:
Spirit Calls Me is excited to offer you the
opportunity to develop your own Creative Visioning board “Why you ask would I want to
make a Creative Visioning Board?
Because we say –“It works!" And in our experience this is one of the
best tools for bringing forth that which wants to be expressed. Another way of
expressing this was stated in the 2nd century by the Roman emperor
and Stoic philosopher Marcus Aurelius, who said, “Our life is what our thoughts
make it.” So you see it’s not a
new idea but it definitely is a powerful one.
Karen Bishop in her Wings message of January 31, 2010
stated: “ Our creating abilities are profound now. This is why focusing on and
visualizing what we truly desire is so vitally important, as it serves to keep
our spirits up, as well as serving to form the new reality in all ways, and
keep that in place as well.”
The reason it works is because it allows you
to match your energy to that of the desired effect by looking at the pictures
on your board and visualizing yourself in that picture. We know Life is energy
and we draw to us that which matches our current rate of vibration. Since our
thoughts, feelings and actions are all forms of energy, what we think, feel,
say, and do in each moment comes back to us to create our realities. Many individuals who are working on their
spiritual growth have found that as they have grown and changed, they have lost
some friends and gained new ones. That is because their energy/vibration
changed. So, too, are we able to attract different physical objects to
ourselves that are of a different quality. By looking at the images you’ve
chosen to represent your vision you add clarity and feeling so the vision
itself becomes more “real” in your mind. As it becomes more real you begin to
believe that it is real and since the mind does not distinguish between what is
real in our mind and what is real “out there” it begins the process of
attracting to us those things we put our attention on so that they can manifest
in our reality.
Especially now we are searching for what we really want and
how we express our Soul purpose in this new world. Often we search in vain
because we are looking outside ourselves. The power of Creative Visioning
as a way of discovering direction and clarity comes from its reliance upon the
inner knower, the deep self within each of us, always available and ever
responsive when we call upon it. This Creative Visioning Process is a
way by which we train our selves to hear, feel, see and catch God’s plan for
our life or any particular project we are working on.
People who have no vision for their life are sleepwalking
with no hint as to why they are here or what their purpose is. They are
drifting along on the currents and of the culture’s beliefs of the day whether
those beliefs be good or bad. We can no longer afford to continue drifting
– it is time to step up and do what we came to do!
We know we are all called to express God’s unconditional
Love – that is our purpose. The task is to find out what that looks like in our
life. We are multidimensional, multifaceted beings and there are many ways in
which we express love, but each of us has a primary vision to catch or to open
up to, which enables us to serve our purpose of revealing Love.
As we become inspired by the ideas held in the mind of God,
they begin to live and express through us. We are then able to articulate and
to live them. We are fulfilling our heart’s desire (allowing our latent
talents, gifts and abilities to become actualized), which is after all God’s
Will for each of us.
“OK You’ve got my attention. How do
I do this?”
Creative Visioning begins with a deep sense that
we’re surrounded by unconditional love. Using whatever method you are
comfortable with go into a light meditative state that establishes your
connection to Spirit. This is the foundation for Creative Visioning. We
then declare what it is we are doing the visioning about. For example, we may
ask, “How does God express Itself through me?” Then wait to inwardly hear, see,
and catch what comes. What it looks
like, what it feels and sounds like, so pay close attention to any symbols or
metaphors that appear. All of this is done without judgment. We are opening
ourselves to whatever comes and we notice what begins to flow through so we can
articulate it, write it down, express it, dialogue about it, and be aware of
how it feels, not just emotionally but spiritually.
At this point, you might ask, “What is it that I have to
embody or become in order for this vision to manifest?” As we begin to get a
picture of how we need to develop and grow and unfold it is then time to begin
to document these ideas and feelings. A good place to begin is to look for the
pictures that express these ideas and feelings. Spirit Calls Me.com provides
all the tools needed to facilitate this process. You may watch this short
video for directions or follow the instructions below:
Step I: Create a new file on your
desktop by right clicking your mouse and selecting new, then folder. Label it
vision board. You might want to make several folders and assign a theme to each
one. Health, Career, Home, Spirituality, Relationships, or Symbols for
instance.
Step 2: After your meditation go through the images on the websites and
download the ones that delight you. (Click here to go to a list of sites where
you can obtain free images. As you see these images –download any that appeal
to you. Don’t ask why, just keep downloading. Just have fun and be open to
whatever calls to you. Then, when you have all the pictures downloaded into a
folder, look at them and ask yourself what this picture might mean. What is it
telling you about you? Does it mean you need to rest more? Does it mean you
need to meditate more? Or stop hanging out with a particular person who drains
you? Most likely you’ll know the answer. If you don’t, but you still love the
image, put it in your vision board anyway. It will have an answer for you soon
enough. This process can be a powerful guide for you in alignment with who you
really are.
